On August 26, 2017, at a rally "For Free Internet" in Sakharov Square in Moscow, nationalists from the "Black Bloc" movement tried to attack two LGBT activists passing by and snatch the flag from the girls. Others stood up for LGBT protesters, but in the end the activists were detained by the police.
The rally "For Free Internet" was held by the Party People's Freedom (PARNAS), "Protest Moscow", the "Civil Initiative" party, "Pirate Party", "Libertarian party", the party "Democratic Choice" and the public organization "RosKomSvoboda".
Nationalists also came to the action. According to the observers of the SOVA center, there were no more than 50 people from the following organizations: the Party of Nationalists, the KNS, the Black Bloc, RONA, the OD "For Honor and Freedom", the groups "National Revolutionary Vanguard", "New Opposition" . Andrei Petrovsky, "Secretary of the Nationalist Party," spoke at the rally.
