The DPRK missile flew over Japan. Residents were told to hide in the basements

The rocket launched by the DPRK flew over the northern part of Japan and scattered into three parts. It is reported by BBC.

The Japanese government issued an emergency warning, advising the residents to hide in the basements. As the Yonhap agency clarifies with reference to the statement of the United Committee of the Chiefs of Staff, the launch of the projectile was made from the Sunan (Pyongyang) area in the direction of the East Sea at 5:57 in the morning.

According to Reuters , the Japanese military did not try to bring down the rocket. The incident "is analyzed by the authorities of the United States and South Korea." Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe promised to undertake “everything necessary” in order to protect the Japanese.
