In Severodvinsk according to Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offences, a volunteer from Navalny’s headquarters was fined

Dmitry Sekushin brought to justice for pictures with Nazi symbols.

On August 30, 2017, the Severodvinsk City Court fined 1,000 rubles under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda or demonstration of Nazi symbols) by Dmitry Sekushin, a volunteer of the local headquarters of Alexei Navalny.

The reason was that on the page of the activist in the social network "VKontakte" two pictures containing Nazi symbols were found. "Images humorous and do not aim to promote Nazi symbols, rather the opposite," Sekushin told OVD-Info.

From our point of view, the pictures for which the activist was punished have nothing to do with the propaganda of Nazi ideology: one of them ridicules the right-wing radical views of part of Donald Trump's supporters, and the other depicts the reactions of an Israeli and a Nazi to a meeting in a video chat. Unfortunately, Russian law punishes for any demonstration of Nazi symbols, without regard to context.
