NSI leader received two years in prison

On September 11, 2017, the leader of the banned far-right organization "People's Social Initiative" (NSI), Dmitry Bobrov, received two years in prison. D.Bobrov did not appear at the announcement of the verdict, he is being sought.

On September 11, the Krasnogvardeisky District Court of St. Petersburg found Bobrov guilty under Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity). The case was initiated upon the publication by D. Bobrov on March 21, 2016 in social network "VKontakte" of the text of the article "Racial Doctrine". It is noteworthy that this is the same text for which in June last year, his first criminal case was initiated (for more details, see here ).

Bobrov pleaded not guilty. Testimony in the case was given by the relatives of the nationalist. So, his brother said that he knew about the activities of Bobrov, that he had once created the "People's Social Initiative" and had access to editing information in the group of the same name on VKontakte.

As a measure of restraint, the nationalist was given a written undertaking not to leave the country. After the verdict, the subscription was changed to an arrest at Kresty until the court decision came into force.

Bobrov did not come to the announcement of the verdict, and did not answer the journalists' calls. On the night of September 11, he appeared on social networks and asked his subscribers for "money for support, and in the case of a real term, for transfers to the pre-trial detention center and colony."

D.Bobrov previously headed the neo-Nazi group "Schulz-88", whose participants attacked foreigners and anti-fascists. IN 2003 was arrested and convicted for 6 years for creating an extremist community, in 2009 released.
