Oleg Sentsov was transferred from Irkutsk to Chelyabinsk

Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov was transferred from the Irkutsk pre -trial detention center to Chelyabinsk. According to Interfax, this was reported in the public supervisory commission of the Irkutsk region on Tuesday.

“In the Irkutsk pre -trial detention center -1, information was received that O. Sensov was taken from Irkutsk to Chelyabinsk today,” said the member of the PMC.

The reasons for the translation of Sentsov are still unknown.

On September 9, it became known that Sentsov was transferred from the colony of Yakutsk to the Irkutsk pre -trial detention center No. 1.

Earlier, the speaker of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Maryana Betsa said that the ministry was checking information about the translating of Sentsov. “Once again, we demand the release of the Ukrainian political prisoner,” she added.

Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum security colony under the articles “Organization of a terrorist community and participation in it”, “Preparation of a terrorist act”, “Preparation for a terrorist act”, “Employment for illegal acquisition of explosives” and “illegal acquisition of explosive devices”.
