In Germany, polling stations opened, citizens of Germany choose a new composition of the Bundestag, reports Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The results of the surveys say that the Chancellor of Angela Merkel will retain his post. Her party "Christian Democratic Union" is twice as much as the main competitor-the Social Democratic Party (SPD).

Judging by the surveys conducted by Infratest Dimap, the “Christian Democratic Union” will receive about 37 percent of the vote by 20 percent of SPD.

Deutsche Welle writes that the election intrigue is who will take third place. The third place is of great importance, since when creating the government, the third in the number of mandates, the party, as a rule, becomes the main opposition and "receives the main tools for providing pressure on the government."
