Fine for using swastikas on social networks

On September 26, 2017, the Kimov City Court of the Tula Region fined a local resident 1,000 rubles for posting a Nazi swastika image on a social network.
In September 2017, in the city of the Tula region, an administrative case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda and public demonstration of Nazi symbols) against a 20-year-old resident of the city of Kimovsk.

The materials were received from the Center "E" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Tula region. According to the materials of the case, the defendant posted in free access on the social network "VKontakte" photographs with Nazi symbols and a swastika. The explanatory note of the Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of History and Archeology of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "TSPU named after L.N. Tolstoy" is attached to the case.
