Two years probation for involvement in the activities of an extremist organization

In Barnaul, a resident of the Zmeinogorsky district was sentenced to two years probation for involvement in the activities of an extremist organization.
In September 2017, the Leninsky District Court of Barnaul sentenced a resident of the Zmeinogorsky District for involvement in the activities of an extremist organization banned on the territory of the Russian Federation (Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).

According to the materials of the case, the convict - "an adherent of nationalist ideas" - from August 2016 to February 2017 "in the course of personal meetings", as well as via the Internet, "persuaded his acquaintances to participate in the activities of an extremist organization." He "promoted the ideas of racism, violence, separatist and revolutionary sentiments among the youth."

The court, taking into account that at the time of the crime, the convict was a minor, sentenced him to 2 years of suspended liberty, with a probationary period of 2 years.

In June 2017, the Zmeinogorsk city court sentenced him to a suspended sentence for posting extremist materials on the Internet and public calls for extremist activity (Article 280 of the Criminal Code).
