General Director and chief accountant "VIM-Avia" is charged with fraud

The General Director of VIM-Avia Alexander Kochnev and the chief accountant of the airline Ekaterina Panteleeva is charged with fraud. This was announced by Interfax by Kochnev’s lawyer Mikhail Voronin and lawyer Panteleeva Ekaterina Pavlovskaya.

On September 25, the Federal Air Transport Agency began an unscheduled VIM-Avia check due to sorties. Only on this day, more than 20 VIM-Avia flights were detained, one of which was more than a day.

Kochnev and Panteleeva were detained on September 28 after an interrogation in the fraud case , initiated in connection with the delay in VIM-Avia flights. According to investigators, the airline knew about the lack of funds for fuel to send aircraft, but at the same time sold tickets to the passengers. According to the IC, no later than September 2, "the officials of this airline had a criminal intent aimed at the theft of passenger funds by deception on a particularly large amount."

Earlier, the owners of VIM-Avia Rashid and Svetlana Mursekaeva left Russia.
