Avakov: My son will prove his innocence in court

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov expressed confidence that his son Alexander in an “adequate trial” would prove that he “has not a dime of money from the budget of Ukraine”. So Avakov commented on Facebook by the detention of Alexander Avakov in the case of the purchase of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ryukzakov for the purposes of the ATO in 2015.

“Neither my son, nor the company in which he is the founder, have and did not have a dime of money from the budget of Ukraine. And Alexander Avakov will pass the procedure and prove it in court, ”wrote Avakov.

“NABU and SAP should not be organs under the influence of political groups and interests. They should not have political interests and PR positions. They should be the law of jurisprudence - in extreme severity and compliance with the law, and not apply the method of stretching and assumptions, as in the case of my family - for the sake of someone's political interests, ”wrote Avakov.

On Tuesday, employees of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine conducted searches in the family of Arsen Avakov. After the searches, Alexander Avakov was detained.

In February 2015, the Ministry of Internal Affairs entered into agreements with Dniprowend LLC for 5 thousand backpacks worth 14.5 million hryvnias and Pligachov emergency for 1 thousand backpacks worth 2.1 million hryvnias. In June 2015, a journalistic investigation was published that the backpacks were acquired through enterprises controlled by Arsen Avakov.
