On November 1, 2017, it became known that the residents of the village of Ikkovo (Chuvashia) are dissatisfied with the construction of an Orthodox church in the old cemetery.

They want to restore the church in the old place, but local residents believe that this is an unfortunate decision: firstly, they will have to build a church on the bones of the dead, secondly, eight apple trees will have to be cut down, thirdly, to move the monument to the fallen soldiers.

Ikkovtsy are convinced that in the village there are many other places to build a church.
