Roskomnadzor will analyze the work of the social network for its compliance with Russian legislation regarding the processing of personal data, Interfax reports .
“In the near future, Roskomnadzor will plan a number of supervisory activities aimed at analyzing the activities of the administration of the Facebook social network in processing personal data of Russian users, the procedure and conditions for the provision of user services, and the content of local acts,” the message says.
The head of Roskomnadzor, Alexander Zharov, said in September that Facebook would be blocked on the territory of the Russian Federation if it did not comply with the requirements of the Russian law on the localization of user data within the next year.
Amendments to the law "On Personal Data", according to which organizations working with Russian users must store personal data of Russians using databases located on the territory of the Russian Federation.
