The territory of the concentration camp, the huts of the zone, where the dissidents Sergey Kovalev, Vasil Stus, Lev Timofeev, Mikhail Meilay and many others, about which the museum exposition were talking about were put in order.
New exhibitions are also open here: “Forbidden literature in the USSR”, the history of the forested - “broken by boletomas”, “gulag: history, labor and life”, “material evidence”, the history of repressions in the Perm diocese - “all nonsense contrary to” ... The main problem of the museum is the remoteness from the regional center, the lack of adequate advertising.
On November 10-11, 2017, the All-Russian conference "Gulag. Start" was held in Perm, which was prepared by the "Memorial Complex of Political Repression", the Union of Museums of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Perm Territory. Historians from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Ishim, Volgograd participated in discussions.
