A member of the PARNAS party was sentenced in Orel

In Orel, a court sentenced 18-year-old Alexander Fomenkov, a local activist of Artpodgotovka and a member of PARNAS, to a year of suspended imprisonment and a ban on "activities related to information and telecommunication technologies."
On November 10, 2017, the Zheleznodorozhny District Court sentenced 18-year-old Alexander Fomenkov, a local activist of Artpodgotovka and a member of PARNAS, to a year of suspended imprisonment and a ban on “activities related to information and telecommunication technologies”.

Fomenkov was convicted for incitement to extremist activity (Article 280 of the Criminal Code). He pleaded guilty.

According to the court decision, the activist published appeals on his social media accounts. Fomenkov also runs a Youtube channel, which used to be called the Right Russian Channel Death. On November 6, he posted a video "SOFA AUTHORIZED RUSSIAN MARCH 2017!!", where he hangs the imperial flag from the balcony with the words "Here it is, our new era: we held the "Russian March" in the kitchen."

The criminal case against Fomenkov became known in March 2017. As local activist Mikhail Rosin said, he was sent to a pre-trial detention center; judging by the fact that the accused continued to publish the video, the measure of restraint was subsequently changed.

Initially, it was reported that the activist was also charged with Article 150 of the Criminal Code (involving a minor in the commission of a crime) and Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred). Whether the charges under these articles were dropped against him is unknown.
