Ivanovo: a case has been opened for storing ammunition

In Ivanovo, a relative of a suspect in inciting hatred was found with ammunition during a search.

In November 2017, the Investigative Department for the Leninsky District of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Ivanovo Region initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition and storage of ammunition by a group of persons).

The crime was discovered during the investigation of a criminal case initiated against an 18-year-old resident of Ivanovo under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic hatred). During a search of a relative of the suspect, investigators, together with employees of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Ivanovo region, found more than 900 cartridges for several types of rifled small arms.
