The FBI is studying more than 60 money transfers sent to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to its embassies around the world, most of which the appointment indicated “financing of the 2016 election campaign,” Buzzfeed reports .

One of these transfers in the amount of 30 thousand dollars was received on August 3 at the expense of the Russian Embassy in the United States. Translations were carried out by VTB to the accounts of Citibank. Despite the fact that VTB has been under US sanctions since 2014, such operations have not been prohibited, and Citibank is beyond suspicion.

According to Citibank. The Russian Foreign Ministry transferred about 380 thousand dollars to its embassies in different countries.
