
The Sverdlovsk District Court of Irkutsk sentenced Dmitry Tolmachev to the five days of administrative arrest of the owner of the Moscow shopping center, who provided the territory for the rally of the politician Alexei Navalny on November 4. According to Interfax, lawyer Vyacheslav Ivanets told about this.
“The court found Tolmachev guilty under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (an organization or a public event without submitting a notification in the prescribed manner about a public event), since the entrepreneur provided a land plot belonging to him for a private meeting with Navalny,” the lawyer said.
Earlier, the same court sentenced to seven days the administrative arrest of the coordinator of the Irkutsk headquarters of Navalny Sergey Bespalov for organizing a rally on November 4. He was found guilty of violation of Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.Representatives of the city headquarters of Navalny previously called this rally "Open meeting of the work collective with Navalny." They explained that it does not need to be coordinated with the authorities, since it takes place on a private territory.
