The second case of Alexey Moroshkin was dismissed

The term of criminal prosecution of Moroshkin for vandalism has expired.

On December 4, 2017, it became known that due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution, the case of Aleksey Moroshkin (Andrey Breiva), who was charged under Part 1 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism) for painting the bust of Lenin in Chelyabinsk in the colors of the Ukrainian flag in September 2015.

The case was opened in 2015 and the investigation was completed several times, but the prosecutor's office did not approve the indictment. Moroshkin did not admit guilt, but agreed with the dismissal of the case.

We believe that bringing Moroshkin to administrative responsibility for petty hooliganism could be sufficient in this case.

Earlier Moroshkin, known as the creator of the Church of the Chelyabinsk meteorite and accused under Part 2 of Art. 280.1 of the Criminal Code (public calls for separatism via the Internet), was sent for compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital, where he spent a year and a half. We doubted the validity of both the criminal prosecution of Moroshkin for calling for the separation of the Urals from Russia, and the decision on his involuntary hospitalization.
