The Ministry of Justice announced 9 media with foreign agents

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation included nine media in the register of foreign agents, according to the website of the department.

The list of foreign agents included the Radio Liberty (RSE/RS), Voice of America, the Current Towed Channel, the Tatar-Bashkir Service Radio Liberty, Siberia. Realii, Idel. Realia, Factograph, Caucasus.reali and Crimea. Realii.

Earlier, this media was sent notifications of entering the appropriate register.

The named publications will have to report to the Ministry of Justice of their activities, as well as indicate in their products that they are foreign agents.

On November 25, Vladimir Putin signed a law on the status of a foreign agent for foreign media working in Russia. This was a response to the US demand for RT channel to register as a foreign agent.
