Great Britain will pay the European Union 45 billion euros for Brexit

The UK will pay the European Union 40-45 billion euros as a financial settlement within the framework of Brexit, Sky News reports citing the official representative of the Great Britain.

“We expect the range will be 35-39 billion pounds. We consider this as an honest settlement of our obligations, we always said that if we have obligations, we will fulfill them, ”he said.

The amount was agreed at the technical meeting of the working groups of the British Ministry of Finance and the EU coordinator for Brexit Michel Barnier.

Earlier on Friday, Barnier said that the parties to the negotiations on the exit of Great Britain from the European Union came to sufficient progress to move on to their next phase.
