The second interlocutor of Sasha Sulim in Irkutsk was investigator Evgeny Karchevsky . His group revealed 60 episodes (59 murders and one attempt) of the Angarsk Maniac case. Karchevsky is sure that Popkov enjoyed his crimes:

If you want to find a partner, you will, for example, go to clubs and look for him. While there is a desire, there is a need. And he always had a desire.
