On December 11, 2017, the Volga District Military Court delivered a verdict in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case in Bashkiria.
The court convicted five residents of Sterlitamak and Salavat - Albert Shafiev (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) of organizing the activities of an organization recognized as terrorist (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) or participating in it (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) , Aidar Aidarbekov (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), Nail Miniakhmetov (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), Maxim Puigin (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) and Radik Imangulov (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).
A. Shafiev and A. Aidarbekov were sentenced to 16 years, N. Miniakhmetov - to 12 years, M. Puigin and R. Imangulov - to 11 years in a strict regime colony.
The verdict did not enter into force.
Recall that we consider it unlawful to accuse the followers of Hizb ut-Tahrir of terrorism only on the basis of party activities (holding meetings, reading literature, etc.).
