Yalta: the sentence under Art. 282

In Yalta, a court overturned the conviction of activist Larisa Kitajskaya, who was previously found guilty of inciting ethnic hatred.
In February 2019, it became known that on January 23 in Crimea, the Yalta City Court granted the petition of a representative of the FSSP and overturned the sentence of 54-year-old local activist Larisa Kitayskaya. This is due to the partial decriminalization of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code.

Recall that on December 25, 2017, the court found Kitaiskaya guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred or enmity) and sentenced her to two years of probation.

According to media reports, the reason for initiating the case was that the activist "spread Russophobic ideas on the Internet .
