Another supporter of the Volya party convicted

In Moscow, Olga Nikitova, a supporter of the Volya party, received a suspended sentence for a year.

On December 21, 2017, the Kuntsevsky District Court of Moscow recognized Olga Nikitova (born July 23, 1977) guilty under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity). The court sentenced her to a year of probation.

According to the prosecution, Nikitova sent an e-mail newsletter with a leaflet "Appeal to the military personnel of the Russian army", which was banned for distribution (twice - by the Leninsky district court of Ulyanovsk and the Leninsky district court of Yekaterinburg) and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials (p . 3246 ). We believe that the leaflet "Appeal to the military personnel of the Russian army" in 2015 was generally rightfully recognized as extremist, since it contains an unambiguous call for a military coup. Initially, Nikitova was a witness in the case of another supporter of the Volya party, Olga Avilkina, who was convicted on June 15, 2017 by the Krasnogorsk City Court of the Moscow Region as guilty under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity).

In August 2016, the Volya party of Svetlana Peunova was liquidated following a lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice for distributing extremist materials. The Ministry of Justice asked Volia to be recognized as an extremist organization on the grounds that it distributed prohibited materials such as leaflets "We don't trust this government!" and "Appeal to the servicemen of the Russian army".

In February 2016, Samara law enforcement agencies raided the homes of Svetlana Lada-Rus, formerly known as Peunova, the founder of the ANO "Academy of Development" and the leader of Volya. She was charged under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (large-scale fraud). In June 2016, she was put on the federal wanted list, and in July - on the international wanted list. In July, a second criminal case was initiated against Peunova under Article 111 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm committed by a group of persons). In addition, a case was initiated and Article 239 of the Criminal Code (creation of an organization that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens). In July 2016, a court in Samara arrested Peunova in absentia.
