According to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 507 drug crimes were identified, 213 criminal cases were sent to the court. Republic has analyzed 67 decisions of ships made in August 2017, and found common features in them. The defendants, according to the case file, cut and dried several sheets of wild hemp. They were detained in the same way: the police found a hemp, stopping a person to verify documents, and then delivered him to the department, since there were no documents under him. During searches, everyone found drugs.
"Narcotic" cases were considered in a special order. All defendants showed confessions, which in most cases were recorded on the camera. The Republic of Chechnya’s law enforcement agencies said that the detainees who refused to speak to the camera were forced to do this with the help of torture. Similar cases most often occurred in late October and early November 2017.

The 31-year-old Magomed-Ali Mezhidov, detained during the raid on August 14, 2017, wrote in a complaint to the prosecutor’s office that on August 16 he was tortured in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Shalinsky District.
