This year, the calendar of city holidays was replenished with another, which had never before been celebrated in this format.
According to Zebra TV , the head of the public relations department and the media of the administration of the city of Vladimir Alexander Karpilovich, at most sites of the city on January 28, events dedicated to “Day without the Internet” will be held:
“At the indicated date, events are planned throughout the city as part of the youth campaign“ Day without the Internet ”. We planned them for a long time, the action has been conducting the management of youth. We popularize live communication and once again offer young people to break away from gadgets, and chat with each other in real life. ”
It is very easy to understand why the never -celebrated holiday was so interested in the city administration. The fact is that it is on this day that a series of events of supporters of Alexei Navalny, dedicated to the strike of voters, will go throughout the country. Vladimirites also expressed a desire to take part in the federal action along with dozens of other regions.
Karpilovich did not lie when he announced that the administration had long prepared the action, because the staff of Navalny’s headquarters last December submitted a preliminary notification, where the opposition asked the administration to take into account that they would hold a promotion from the regional Philharmonic to Theater Square, where the rally would take place. Activists asked not to occupy the designated route. This tactic was used in all cities where notifications were submitted.
Further, already on January 15, on the first working day, when it is possible to submit a notification by law on the 28th, the organizers came in the morning, to open the administration building and submitted an application .
In the response, officials wrote that it is not possible to agree on the event due to the fact that the indicated route will be held for which notifications were submitted earlier.
As we became convinced from the words of Karpilovich, this is not entirely true. There were no notifications, just the administration urgently came up with the action in order to simply prevent an opposition event.
Supporters of the disgraced policy did not expect anything else from the local authorities and were ready for the fact that once again they had to go to court.
Nevertheless, as planned, the opposition will gather from the regional Philharmonic and go for a walk around the city. This practice has already been successfully used in Vladimir several times. So, it is unlikely that such tricks of the Vladimir City Hall will be able to interfere with the action. Therefore, on “Day without the Internet” it will be most interesting to see on the network. And even better it would be not just to sit on the couch, but to become a participant in these events yourself!
