Today in Vladimir, an action took place in support of the all -Russian “voters strike”, organized by Navalny's headquarters.
Despite the pressure on activists from the police, which took place on the eve of the event, the action was surprisingly calm. The police did not take any actions against the opposition either during the procession or at the rally itself.
It all started on Sadovaya Square, where by 14:00 Supporters of Navalny began to gather. From the building of the regional Philharmonic, they moved towards the central park. The large column oppositionists walked along the jelly mountain, the noble and large Moscow streets, making a small stop on the theater square, where a notification was given about the public campaign.
It is interesting that neither in theater square (where at that time the interactive winter program “Dancing, Dancing, Dones” ), nor anywhere else, during their procession, they did not meet any of the festive events organized by the city of the city. Recall that in order to interfere with the holding of Navalny’s action, the administration came up with the so -called “ Day without the Internet ”, because of which all the areas on this day were allegedly busy.
Turning from Bolshoi Moskovskaya to Gagarin Street, the column continued her procession along the streets of Gorky and the world. The cars passing nearby welcomed the opposition with their signals.
The traditional completion of the action was the rally in the park of the 850th anniversary of G. Vladimir, where everyone could speak. The coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters, Alexei Efremov, called on the audience not to participate in the "political adventure, which they call the elections." And the lawyer of the headquarters Kirill Nikolenko recalled that the fate of the governor Svetlana Orlova directly depends on Putin’s elections. He called on everyone who did not want to reassign her for a second term, to reduce the turnout and thereby ensure that Orlov was removed from our region this year. The organizers of the rally also called on all supporters not to sit on the couch on the day of voting, but to actively participate in the election observation so that the authorities could not draw the turnout they want.
