The son of Fidel Castro committed suicide

The eldest son of the former Cuban leader Fidel Castro committed suicide, reports The Associated Press.

According to the media, the man suffered from depression. Cubadebate notes that in recent months, “due to deep depression”, a whole group of doctors worked with him.

Fidel Castro Diaz Barat is the eldest son of a revolutionary. He was 68 years old, and because of the resemblance to his father, he received the nickname "Fidelito".

Fidel Castro died in November 2016. He ruled Cuba for almost 50 years, coming to power in 1959. In 1953, the revolutionary became the leader of the uprising against Fullyhensio Batista, who seized power on the island during the military coup.
