A resident of the Volgograd region convicted of Islamist publications

The court sentenced a resident of Kamyshin to five years in prison for Islamist posts on social media.  

February 9, 2018 reported on the sentence handed down to a 25-year-old resident of Kamyshin. The court recognized him guilty under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity on the grounds of nationality, attitudes towards religion committed using the Internet) and sentenced to 5 years in prison in a strict regime colony.

According to the investigation and the court, from August to October 2016 he posted on one of the social networks four audio files “containing threats committing violent hostile acts against persons not who share his religious views .

It is reported that the convict "is a supporter of the ideas Islamism" .
