Billionaire Oleg Deripaska stepped down as president of Rusal, according to a press release on Friday, February 23. company
Deripaska's place was taken by the general director of Rusal, Vladislav Solovyov. Alexander Buriko, who previously held the position of financial director, became the new CEO of the company.
On February 19, Kommersant reported that Deripaska intended to leave the presidency in En + Group and Rusal structures controlled by him. One of the reasons the newspaper's interlocutors called the businessman's inclusion on the new US sanctions list.
