Izhevsk: a criminal investigation into the publication of 12 xenophobic videos on a social network has been completed

In March 2018 in the city of Izhevsk Udmurt Republic, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code against a 19-year-old technical school student suspected of posting on the VKontakte social network 12 xenophobic videos. In August 2018, the investigation into the case was completed.

March 26, 2018 in the city of Izhevsk Udmurt Republic, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 UK (incitement of national hatred).

The case was initiated against a 19-year-old technical school student who, according to law enforcement agencies, published in the social network "VKontakte" 12 xenophobic videos.

Details, unfortunately, are not disclosed.

An inspection was carried out in the suspect's apartment, a computer technology and electronic media.

The young man pleaded guilty and declared remorse.

He is under bail.

In August 2018, the investigation of the case was completed and transferred to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment and subsequent transfer to court.   Sources
