Omsk student fined for posting on social media

In Omsk, a student was fined 31,000 rubles for two administrative matters. The reason was the publication in the social network of some prohibited materials.  

In early April 2018, it became known that a resident of Omsk was recognized guilty under Part 2 of Art. 5.26 (intentional public desecration of a religious or liturgical literature, objects of religious veneration, signs or emblems worldview symbols and paraphernalia or their damage or destruction) and Part 1 Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (propaganda or public demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, or paraphernalia or symbols similar to Nazi paraphernalia or symbolism to the point of confusion, or paraphernalia or symbolism extremist organizations).

A fourth-year student of one of the educational institutions of Omsk, Born in 1998, according to the investigation, published on his page in social networks some materials prohibited to distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation.

On April 2 and 3, the court found him guilty in both cases and sentenced to fines totaling 31 thousand rubles.
