Roskomnadzor reported that the department had begun the procedure for blocking the Telegram service in Russia.
“Roskomnadzor received a decision from the Tagansky District Court to restrict access in Russia to the Internet resources of the organizer of the dissemination of information on the Internet Telegram Messenger Limited Liability Partnership. In this regard, information about these Internet resources on Monday, April 16, was sent to telecom operators in order to restrict access, ”the message says .
On April 13, the court granted the claim of Roskomnadzor, which required the service to provide the FSB with keys to decrypt user messages, the judge ruled to immediately begin blocking the resource. The founder of the service, Pavel Durov, said that the company does not sell confidentiality.
