In April 2018, it became known that in the village of Bolshaya Izhora, Lomonosovsky district, Leningrad region, an investigation was launched into the fact that a 12-year-old schoolboy had been beaten by his classmates because of his Ukrainian origin.
The check began after the appearance in the media of an article in which there is a video of the boy being beaten, first by one, and then by two classmates. In the video, you can see that the child is kicked and punched on the body and head right in the classroom, and the rest of the classmates are filming what is happening on the phone.
The article stated that this was not the only beating, but that the child was systematically bullied by other students of the school due to the fact that he was born in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. It was reported that there is information that the child is teased as "Khokhlov" and "outcast".
