Foreign Ministry of Latvia: "BBC" wants to "evacuate" his journalists from Russia

The representative of the Foreign Ministry of Latvia Gints Jegermanis said on the air of LNT that the BBC Corporation turned to the country's authorities with a request to support the Russian service reporters when moving to the country.

“The BBC Latvian Bureau addressed us and complained that in Russia journalists have been working in difficult conditions for a long time. The British began to consider the possibility of evacuation from Moscow or from Russia at all, ”said Jagermanis.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, if the British side asks for such assistance, then Latvia is ready to provide it.

In early April, the Council of the Council of the Council for the Protection of State Sovereign included the Russian BBC service in the list of 12 publications, which allegedly carried out “interference” in the election of the President of Russia. The report itself has not yet been published.
