Fine for extremist materials on social networks

In the Krasnodar Territory, a 25-year-old resident of the Temryuk district was fined for audio recordings on a social network.

In April 2018, the Temryuk District Court held a local resident administratively liable under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (dissemination of extremist materials).

According to the prosecutor’s office, a 25-year-old local resident posted in the public domain on one of the social networks an audio recording promoting the superiority of one nationality over others, and recognized in 2015 as extremist material by a court decision in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

He was fined. The material has been removed.
