Barnaul resident convicted of xenophobic videos on Youtube
In the Altai Territory, a resident of Barnaul was convicted for xenophobic videos on Youtube. His video camera and laptop were confiscated.
In May 2010, the Leninsky District Court of Barnaul sentenced a local resident under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred and enmity).
The court found that from July to September 2016, the convict produced and posted on Youtube videos in which there were statements, "the content of a negative assessment and calls for hostile actions against persons on the basis of nationality."
A resident of Barnaul was sentenced to 2 years probation. The camcorder and laptop used to make the videos were confiscated.
The verdict came into force.
