This factor alone can lead to an increase in raw oil prices to $ 90, according to investment bank.

• The international marine organization requires by January 1, 2020 to reduce the maximum content of sulfur in ship fuel from 3.5% to 0.5%. This will lead to an excess of the proposal of high -sulfur fuel oil and an increase in demand for oil products that meet new requirements.
• New requirements will create a demand for an additional 1.5 million barrels of oil products per day, Morgan Stanley analysts write (this year the average oil demand is 98 million barrels per day). They note that the last time the shortage of medium distillates was observed in 2007-2008 and became one of the factors of the last peak of oil prices when they approached $ 150.
• Earlier, Merrill Lynch analysts predicted that over the next one and a half years, a deficit should arise on the world market, the cause of which will be American sanctions against Iran and Venezuela oil export collapse.
