“I will give an example. When I came from St. Petersburg in 1996 and became the head of the President’s control department, transparency - this was not very accepted in our country. Were untouchable for checks. Then we first opened the opportunity, conducted inspections of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense. Then the results of these inspections were classified and carried the nature of state secrets on a number of issues, but now the time has passed, and I can say that as a result of the audit of the 40 generals, the Generals were shifted or lower, ”Kudrin said, answering the question of deputies if he could fulfill his duties if the checks touched his former students or deputy prime ministers.

On May 22, the State Duma will consider the issue of the appointment of Kudrin by the chairman of the joint venture. His candidacy was introduced by President Putin.
