The head of Sberbank, German Gref, apologized to businessman Gennady Timchenko in connection with the report of Sberbank Cib analysts, in which Gazprom was criticized. About this Timchenko told The Bell at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
On May 23, Gref called the businessman and said that the analysts who wrote the report were dismissed.
“I personally do not care, I ... I don’t read it,” Timchenko said.
On May 21, Sberbank CIB issued a report according to which the main benefit from the construction of export gas pipelines in China (Siberia Power) and Europe (North Stream-2 and Turkish Stream) are received by contracting companies, rather than Gazprom shareholders. After that, one of the compilers of the report, Alex FEK, who had previously prepared a report with criticism of Rosneft and its head Igor Sechin, was dismissed. And then the head of the analytical department of Sberbank CIB, Alexander Kudrin, also lost his job.
