The selfish interests of our power

Back in 1994, Egor Gaidar warned of the threatening danger of people who put their selfish interests above the debt.

The ideals of our statesmen are completely transparent. No, not socialism, not an empire, not military power excite them, these are all words. But in reality, they need to strengthen such a prose thing as a bureaucratic market, preserving a false state economy, where their actually private capital acts under the guise and by state rights. Of course, no one, of course, intends to refuse from what has already been captured during nomenclature privatization. The system of monopoly state property is destroyed, and by no means in the interests of the bureaucracy to restore it. Not to nationalize back what finally became “your own”, but not to dump in the general pile that they managed to shove into his pockets. But there is no system of sufficiently developed private property, and by no means in the interests of today's Russian bureaucracy to help the formation of a full -fledged private property system separated from the state.

Consequently, here a priori is supposed to be an irrational, spiritualistic attitude towards a sacred state, restoration of the rights of "statehood" as a special state religion. All this is impossible without official xenophobia, without the active formation of the “image of the enemy” - external and internal. Further, this political line, obviously, suggests (and ideology quite justifies) a sharp coagulation of political, economic, civil rights of society and the expansion of the state and revenues of the state, a new mobilization of society resources for solving imperial problems. I am convinced that such a course is a direct road to a national catastrophe, to the collapse of an exhausted country along with the state rising above it. Which succeeded in the 1920-1930s, it will not take place on the eve of the 21st century. The expansion of territories is an exchange of space for a while: due to the regression in time, returning to archaic forms of management (perhaps the feudal-self-contained), expand the physical boundaries of the state. This is the right path to the death of the country. The same applies to the actual economic sphere. The implementation of such imperial projects means a sharp strengthening of the military -industrial complex (due to what, what resources?), The entire state -controlled sector of the economy, the core of which is the military -industrial complex. Obviously, this, from the point of view of economic efficiency, is the path to nowhere, to the abyss.
