The phased shutdown of the service will begin on July 1. The team does not plan to sell the project.

The founder of NTECHLAB, Artem Kukharenko, created the FindFace algorithm in 2015, and then sold it to the former producer of the pro -Kremlin site Russia.ru Maxim Perlin. Since the launch of the technology, Russian law enforcement agencies showed great interest.

After a protest rally on June 12, 2017, a site called “Je Suis Maidan”appeared on the Internet, which posted photographs and links to social networks of participants in the action. Subsequently, the portal was closed.

Perlin in a conversation with “Open Russia” denied that it was related to the recognition of the persons of the participants in the action on Tverskaya. He explained that the FindFace platform is open, and anyone could use the service.
