The Communist Party decided to initiate the All -Russian referendum on pension reform

The Communist Party submitted to the CEC of the Russian Federation and the Mosgorizbirk applications for holding a meeting to initiate the All -Russian referendum in Moscow on a change in pension legislation. This was reported to "Interfax" by the first deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Ivan Melnikov.

The party plan to bring two questions to the referendum: “Do you agree with an increase in age, upon reaching which a man has the right to appoint an old -age insurance pension?” And "Do you agree with an increase in the age, upon the achievement of which a woman has the right to appoint an old -age insurance pension?"

“Last night, representatives of the initiative subgroup of Muscovites - this is the initiative of the Central Committee and the Moscow City Committee of the Party - submitted official applications to the Central Electoral Commission, to the Moscow City Electoral Commission for the holding in the city of Moscow on the fifth of July at 18:00 in the Central House of writers of the initiative subgroup to initiate a referendum procedure,” said Ivan Melnikov.

In order for the application for a referendum to be registered, members of the Communist Party will need to collect at least two million signatures for its implementation.
