Blogger Maddison sentenced to one and a half years

The Tushinsky Court of Moscow sentenced blogger Ilya Maddison to 1.5 years in prison on probation for speaking out on the topic of religion.

On July 16, 2018, it became known that the Tushinsky Court of Moscow ruled sentence under h. 1 Article. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred) against blogger Ilya Davydov (Ilya Maddison). The court sentenced him to 1.5 years in prison for commenting on religion in the video.

Recall that in March 2017 The Zavodskoy District Court of Grozny recognized the video Maddyson on Islam, the Quran and Muslims", in which a blogger using obscene language not only spoke extremely aggressively about the Koran and Islam, but also directly called for violence against Muslims. In February of the same year the same court recognized as extremist another video by Maddison, “ Joke about Qur'an " (we consider this decision unlawful).

For which video convicted blogger, it is not clear. The verdict was not appealed and entered into force.
