The EU imposed sanctions against Rotenberg’s companies for the construction of a bridge in Crimea

The European Union imposed sanctions against companies participating in the construction of the Kerch bridge.

In particular, from July 31, there are two companies of Arkady Rotenberg - PJSC Mostotrest and Stroygazmontazh LLC under European sanctions. Previously, these companies have already been included in the American sanctions list.

Also, the EU sanctions were found by the Institute of Giprostroymost - St. Petersburg JSC, JSC Shipbuilding Plant Bay, LLC Stroygazmontazh - Bridge, Vologda JSC VAD.

The construction of the bridge and its official discovery in May of this year were “key symbolic steps in Russia's consolidation of control over illegally annexed Crimea and Sevastopol and the further isolation of the peninsula from Ukraine,” the motivating part of the decision on the imposition of sanctions.
