
To the Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, convicted in Russia on charges of terrorism and a serving punishment in the White Bear colony, did not let the priest go. This was announced on Facebook by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Nakhovna Rada of Ukraine Irina Gerashchenko.
Gerashchenko said that through the priest she tried to transfer the letter to Sentsov.
“The priest was not allowed to Sentsov ... I tried to give Oleg a letter. There were never any answer to dozens of my letters that I sent, sent, through lawyers and other persons. Perhaps they never reached Oleg, ”Gerashchenko wrote.
Sentsov has been holding a hunger strike for 79 days - from May 14. It requires the liberation of all Ukrainian political prisoners.
On July 25, the European Court of Human Rights called on Sentsov to stop the hunger strike, and Russia to provide him with the necessary treatment.
The head of the International Group "Agora" Pavel Chikov explained that the Russian Federation cannot ignore the court demand to provide him with proper medical assistance.
