SK opened a criminal case in connection with the murder of Jemal, Rastorguev and Radchenko

The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case in connection with the death of journalist Orhan Jemal, director Alexander Rastorguev and operator Kirill Radchenko in Central Africa.

The case was opened under the article “Murder” (105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The death of Jemal, Radchenko and Rastorguev became known on July 31 in the evening. They shot a documentary in the CAR on the work of the Wagner PMC. A source in the “Investigation Management Center” said earlier that the Russians were stopped at a checkpoint. PMC Wagner (or Wagner group) is a private military company that operated in Ukraine, and then in Syria. In June 2017, Wagner PMC was included in the US sanctions list.
