
The US dollar and the euro are growing on the Moscow Exchange, the ruble increased the decline to the dollar and the euro after the reports that the US senators have prepared a bill on the introduction of new sanctions against Russia, Interfax reports.
The US dollar amount amounted to 63.39 rubles ./ $ 1 at 19:00 in Moscow, which is 34.5 kopecks above the closing of previous trading. The euro cost 73.61 rubles/EUR1, rising to 10 kopecks. The bivalve basket ($ 0.55 and EUR0.45) went up by 23.48 kopecks - up to 67.99 rubles.
A group of American senators proposed a bill proving to tighten sanctions against the Russian Federation. The bill was proposed by senators Lindsay Graham, Bob Menendes, Core Gardner, Ben Cardin, John McCain and Gene Shahin.
The norms developed by them provide for a ban on transactions related to the sovereign debt of the Russian Federation, sanctions for investments in energy projects supported by Russia or structures with the participation of Russian state capital, and the ban on US citizens to participate in oil projects in Russia.
The document also provides for the introduction of new sanctions against Russian officials, oligarchs and other persons who "contribute to unlawful and corrupt activities, direct and indirectly." As Graham emphasized, we are talking about the “most painful” restrictive measures for Russia.
