In Borisoglebsk, the case of a pastor punished for creating a religious group without notifying the authorities was dropped

At the beginning of August 2018, the Borisoglebsk City Court Voronezh Region terminated the proceedings on the case of the pastor of the local religious organization of Evangelical Christians (Pentecostals) "Christian Center Revival" by Sergei Solonko.

In June, the world court issued a warning to him under Art. 19.7 Administrative Code Russian Federation (failure to provide information) for the creation of a religious group in Borisoglebsk without notifying the Department of Justice.

The court took into account that S. Solonko did not create a group in Borisoglebsk and did not carry out religious activities in this city, since it is pastor in Voronezh.

In addition, the pastor's lawyer Vladimir Ozolin notes that the warnings for the formation of a religious group in this case in principle illegally. According to the legislation, “a local religious organization is authorized to carry out its activities within that subject of the Russian Federation in which it is registered. In this case, it is Voronezh region, therefore, in any city located in the Voronezh region, in including in the city of Borisoglebsk, Local religious organization "Renaissance Christian Center" of Evangelical Christians in Voronezh can carry out their activities."
