American NPO Pacific Environment is recognized as an unwanted organization in the Russian Federation

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation recognized the American non -governmental organization “Pacific Environmental Protection and Natural Resources” (Pacific Environment, PERC) undesirable in the Russian Federation. According to Interfax, this was announced by the official representative of the department, Alexander Kurenna.

According to him, "it was established that the work of the organization poses a threat to the foundations of the constitutional system of the Russian Federation and the security of the state."

Information about the decision is sent to the Ministry of Justice of Russia to enter information to the list of foreign and international non -governmental organizations, whose activities are recognized as undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation.
